7. Billy Graham $25M
Like father, like son. Meet Billy Graham, Franklin Graham’s equally religious and successful father. He is easily one the most famous pastors on the planet, who is 98 now. He rose to fame quickly after World War II ended, speaking to the middle-class and holding large indoor and outdoor rallies. He eventually found his way to TV, where he preached for six decades and also hosted popular radio show Hour of Decision. He was the spiritual advisor to American presidents and even bailed Martin Luther King, Jr. out of jail once.
6. Kenneth Copeland $25M
Kenneth Copeland came to church from the pop stars’ world — he was a recording artist before becoming one of the leaders of Charismatic Movement and televangelist. Copeland preaches prosperity gospel, and it eventually made him a very rich man. He works on TV, writes books, record CDs and DVDs and uses his good looks to attract more and more people.
5. Creflo Dollar $27M
Believe it or not, this is his real last name. Creflo Dollar Jr. is a televangelist and the founder of the non-denominational World Changers Church International in Atlanta’s suburbs. Surprisingly, he has a Bachelor of Science. He still remembers the very first worship service he held back in 1986 in a tiny elementary school’s cafeteria with only eight people in attendance. These days he preaches to 8,500 people in his own church named World Dome.
It’s not all that peaceful in the Dollar household, though. In 2013 Dollar was arrested for attacking his own daughter and had to attend an anger management group. He also made headlines when he was asking for donations to buy… a new private jet. Guess what? He got one.
