This Canadian family had no idea what was in store for them when they went to a routine ultrasound scan to see their baby for the first time on Christmas’ eve. They will always remember that pre-holiday day.
When young Canadian married couple Bethani and Tim Webb from the town of Alberta went to get their first ultrasound, they didn’t expect any news of this scale. By that time they weren’t even married a year.
The ultrasound revealed that Bethani was expecting not one, not two, not even three, but four kids. That was a whole lot of babies coming Webbs way all at once.
“I could not believe it, I was in such shock,” Bethani would later tell CBC News. Honestly, I thought the ultrasound tech was joking. I’m definitely glad I was laying down because I could not believe that there were four there. I thought there had to be some kind of mistake…”
The daddy-of-four to be, Tim, was equally stunned that day. “(My husband) almost fainted. He had to sit down for a moment,” Bethani revealed to TODAY. It wasn’t just the shock of having to raise four kids at once – they also had to figure out a way to provide for their new family four times more than what the Webbs originally expected.
